If you already use InsituArtRoom, sign in with your usual account.
If you are new to InsituArtRoom, create an account first. You can use InsituArtRoom on Web, iOS or Android.
If you are using the mobile app, make sure you have the latest version installed so the newest Marketplace features are available.
Set up payments with Stripe
Before you can offer artworks for sale, go to My Profile and select Set up payments with Stripe.
Stripe securely verifies sellers and handles Marketplace payments. This allows you to receive your earnings securely when your artwork sells.
What may Stripe ask for?
Depending on your country and account type, Stripe may ask for personal or business information, identity verification, a bank account for payouts, and other details required to verify your seller account.
Complete all required Stripe steps until your payment account is ready. If Stripe asks for additional information later, please complete those requirements before selling.
Create or choose a mockup
Create a mockup of your artwork in InsituArtRoom as usual and save it.
You can also use a mockup you have already created. Open your saved mockups and select the artwork you want to publish.
Publish your artwork for sale
When publishing or editing an artwork, select Available for purchase.
Add the required artwork information, including your price, size and other relevant details, then publish it to the Marketplace.
You choose which original artworks you want to sell and you set your own prices.
Confirm shipping when a buyer is interested
When a buyer wants to purchase one of your artworks, you will receive a request with the buyer's shipping destination.
You can then confirm that the artwork is still available and provide the shipping cost before the buyer completes the purchase.
This means you do not need to set one fixed worldwide shipping price when you list the artwork.
Complete the sale and ship the artwork
Once the buyer completes payment, carefully package the original artwork and ship it to the buyer.
The artist is responsible for packaging and shipping the artwork. Please ship within 72 hours and provide the shipment and tracking information.
Receive your payment
Marketplace payments are handled securely through Stripe.
InsituArtRoom's commission is applied automatically. The seller commission is 20% for Free users and 15% for Premium users.
Once delivery has been confirmed and the transaction is completed, your seller payment is released through your connected Stripe account. Stripe then pays out funds to your bank account according to your Stripe payout settings.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need Premium to sell?
No. Both Free and Premium users can sell original artworks in the Marketplace. Premium users receive the reduced 15% commission rate.
Are there listing fees?
No. There are no listing fees or upfront Marketplace costs.
Who decides the artwork price?
You do. Artists set their own prices.
Who pays for shipping?
The shipping cost is confirmed before the buyer completes the purchase. The artist is responsible for packaging and shipping the artwork.
Can I use InsituArtRoom on a computer?
Yes. InsituArtRoom is available on Web, iOS and Android.
Why do I need Stripe?
Stripe securely verifies sellers and handles Marketplace payments and payouts.
